Gertrude Elliott Allied Health Endowed

Established as an endowed scholarship in 1993, in memory of Gertrude Elliott, scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic potential, high moral standards and good character. The recipient must be a first- or second-year student enrolled in a WCC Allied Health Sciences Associate Degree program. A student may also be a candidate if he/she is working toward a BSN or Master’s Degree in Nursing at another school as long as he/she is taking prerequisite courses at WCC as required for the advanced degree. Recipients are chosen by the donor. For this reason, a student may receive the scholarship twice, so it’s technically “renewable,” but they must re-apply each year to be considered.
